{"id":111,"date":"2014-08-15T10:55:05","date_gmt":"2014-08-15T10:55:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aquaaims.com\/wordpress\/?page_id=111"},"modified":"2026-03-11T08:43:55","modified_gmt":"2026-03-11T08:43:55","slug":"lessons","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/aquaaims.com\/index.php\/lessons\/","title":{"rendered":"Class Groups"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Small Classes.\u00a0 \u00a0More Practice.\u00a0 Faster Progress.<\/h4>\n<h4>Aqua Aims provide well planned lessons in accordance with our bespoke teaching program.\u00a0 Having such small class sizes means we can give every swimmer\u00a0\u00a0the individual attention they deserve, which enables them to gain water confidence and progress much faster.<\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">All lessons are broken down into three parts and will include:\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Warm Up,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Main Session, <\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Contrasting Activity.<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4>We follow the learn to swim principles of water familiarisation, breath control, submersion (never forced), floating, gliding, propulsion and breathing. Water safety should underpin all the learn to swim principles<strong>.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4 dir=\"auto\">A child\u2019s readiness will determine the introduction of the next progressive teaching skill.<\/h4>\n<h4>Beginner swimmers cannot progress if they are wearing arm discs or are using a noodle to lean on for the whole lesson. Children will be moved up to independent swimming without parent assistance in the water as soon as they are ready.<\/h4>\n<h4>Please see document from the Swim Teachers Association and Swim England supporting why swim teachers should instruct from poolside where possible, to provide progressive lessons <a href=\"https:\/\/aquaaims.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Teaching-in-the-Water-Safety-v15-1.pdf\">Swim Teachers Association\u00a0 \u00a0\/\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimming.org\/learntoswim\/benefits-teaching-poolside\/\">Swim England<\/a><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Class Groups :\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Class groups are not guaranteed to stay the same from Course to Course or with the same Teacher.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you know that your child finds change difficult,\u00a0 please call us before course start to check for any changes, so that you can prepare your swimmer in advance.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4>Groups are based on stage achieved, overall swim ability &amp; age.\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">The first few weeks back to any new course and during courses if needed, we may move &amp;\u00a0 re group swimmers to achieve the very best class mix possible.<\/span>\u00a0 We will call you to discuss if we feel a permanent change is required.\u00a0 The lane or part of the pool your child swims in has no bearing on their group ability and may change during the course.<\/h4>\n<h4>We have a mix of ages &amp; stages in groups.\u00a0 \u00a0Classes are grouped by overall swim ability and age and have a mix of both boys and girls in each group, in differing numbers all working towards improving their overall independent swim ability, confidence and water safety.<\/h4>\n<h4>All Courses are paid in full at time of booking.<\/h4>\n<h4>Class sizes and information are as specified at time of booking on your individual class page information.<\/h4>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Call to Book:<\/span>\u00a007930 139 634<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<h4 style=\"color: #000000;\"><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Small Classes.\u00a0 \u00a0More Practice.\u00a0 Faster Progress.
