About our classes:

For our beginner swimmers an adult is required in the water to support their own child until they have mastered their face & eyes in, breath control and can float unaided.  By having this  “one to one” parent support,  it means they receive 100 percent practice time  during their 30 minute lesson.  More practice means faster progress.

Beginner swimmers cannot progress if they are wearing arm discs or are using a noodle to lean on for the whole lesson.  They need to master their independent floating skills, which is the key to learning to swim properly.

Having Parent Support Classes for all beginner swimmers allows parents and children to learn together, giving opportunity during lessons to work on a 1-1 basis with their own child, meaning 100 practice time.  This could be by practicing as a group or doing separate practice where needed during the group class.

A child’s readiness will determine the introduction of the next progressive teaching skill and when they are ready to move onto independent swimming without parent support.

In these levels we are teaching and improving our floating, gliding, kicking and breathing techniques as well as submersions & rotations.

In these levels we are teaching front crawl and backstroke with the correct technique and introducing breaststroke and butterfly legs. We have fun learning water safety skills such as sculling & treading water.

In this level class we are teaching all four swimming strokes, front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly with the correct timing and breathing techniques. We learn water safety skills and how to help yourself & others in a water emergency.

In this 45 minute class we are perfecting all four swimming strokes and improving stamina and speed. We are teaching all starts and turns to get the children ready ready for The Aqua Challenge Cup.
