IMPORTANT: Please read all of the information shown on our website before sending fees to us, which includes our T&C’S of Booking & our Pool Safety Rules below, which must be followed by everyone attending our classes.
Pool H&S Rules – Rayleigh Primary School
Illness:
We ask that anyone feeling ill or showing signs or any symptoms of Covid 19 or any other illness should not attend the facility and follow NHS guidance.
Car Parking:
Parking is available roadside in Spring Gardens and at other local areas, we do not have onsite parking as we are just off the High Street. Please park considerately of our neighbours and arrive with plenty of time to park.
Once parked, walk through the metal gates, down the pathway past the white pavilion building and through the wooden gate which leads to the pool.
Continue walking down the pathway to the entrance door to the pool.
Pushchairs, scooters or bikes are not allowed into the pool premises. They must be left outside of the building.
Remove your shoes as you enter the building and place them in the green storage box provided by the door. Continue into the changing rooms marked girls and boys.
Women (Mums) bringing boys must go into the girls changing room and Men (Dads) bringing girls must go into the boys changing room.
Parents, you must stay in the changing rooms and on the premises with your children at all times, before and after class to ensure their safety.
On arrival into the building/before class:
Only one adult is to accompany each swimmer into the building. We cannot accommodate additional parents or spectators.
Please do not eat or bring any food into the premises.
No one should enter the building more than five/ten minutes before the start of their swim class.
Toilets: parents must accompany their children to the toilet at all times and ensure it is left flushed and clean for the next user.
Swim nappies must be worn (if required) and used nappies taken away with you. Full nappy details are supplied at time of booking.
Please do not go through to the poolside more than a couple of minutes before your class is due to start (no earlier).
Once you / you and your children have changed into swim wear, place all of your belongings into a large bag and leave them in the changing room.
No one must wear outdoor shoes poolside (this includes adults / watching parents).
Parents watching, please bring flip-flops to change into if you do not wish to have bare feet poolside – this is to ensure our pool remains clean for our swimmers.
Leave all of your belongings in the changing room to keep the poolside clear.
When Poolside:
Please stand by / sit quietly on the blue benches with your swimmer to ensure you do not disturb the class swimming. Our teacher will call you forward to class when ready.
Please do not allow your children to climb on the poolside or run around as the floors are wet and slippery, if they find waiting quietly difficult, please wait in the changing rooms.
Please ensure swim hats and (goggles – if needed) are on and properly adjusted before the class starts.
Swimming Hats: Must be worn by all swimmers with long hair. Exceptions will be made for children with Special Needs or requirements. If hats are not worn, hair must be securely tied up and back.
All jewellery including earrings must be removed before class.
Talcum Powder: Please do not bring talcum powder onto the premises.
Toilets: parents must accompany their children to the toilet at all times and ensure it is left flushed and clean for the next user.
Parents please do not come to the poolside edge at any time, unless you asked to do so by the class Teacher. Please remain seated at all times.
No photography or filming at any time on the premises. Unless agreed with class Teachers at the end of each term when presenting the swim awards.
After class:
At the end of class, children will be returned back to parents who will be waiting on the benches that are poolside. Please, do remain seated – your children will come to you.
These reminders are in addition to the full T&C’s supplied to you at time of booking and also any verbal instructions provided by our staff that may be required at any time to ensure safety.
