Aqua Aims are a Private Swim England Acreditated Swim School and are Winners of the Swim England Swim School of the Year Award.
We are very proud of our Swim School and the bespoke classes that we offer. We are not part of a national franchise system, which means we provide our own award winning bespoke classes. We believe that all swimmers deserve to learn in small class sizes and should be given the opportunity to swim and enjoy the water in a positive, supportive and encouraging environment, which will help them to become happy confident swimmers.
Having Parent Support Classes for our beginner swimmers allows parents and children to learn together, giving opportunity during lessons to work on a 1-1 basis with their own child, meaning 100 practice time. This could be by practicing as a group or doing separate practice where needed during the group class.
Small classes = More Swimming = Faster Progress
We follow the learn to swim principles of water familiarisation, breath control, submersion (never forced), floating, gliding, propulsion and breathing.
Water safety should underpin all the learn to swim principles.
A child’s readiness will determine the introduction of the next progressive teaching skill.
Beginner swimmers cannot progress if they are wearing arm discs or are using a noodle to lean on for the whole lesson but floats/kick boards are used to help swimmers achieve the correct body position, assist with buoyancy and breathing techniques.
We (Brad & Carol – Owners) personally run all aspects of our Swim School, answer all enquiries and complete all bookings, to ensure that our swimmers and parents receive the very best personal customer care.
This also ensures that no matter which location you choose to swim at, the same high standards of teaching and customer care are received.
Our Team of Teachers are all experienced qualified professionals, who all teach to the same Aqua Aims high standards. We are all DBS checked and hold current National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers or Lifeguard Qualifications to ensure safety.
